| Sitting here waiting for the Tesco delivery man to turn up.
He and hubby have decided that we are going to Stick with slim fast for the time being as it's going ok, so now it's time to stock up!!
Tesco have it on offer 2 for £2, I was paying £1.56 each from Boots so quite a saving. Have ordered 80 bottles!!!!! seems a lot but that will only last us about 3 weeks.
Don't think Tesco's will bring that much but here's hoping.

| sometimes they just say we havn't got them and then sometimes they send a substitution. They sent me the others in banana and vanilla flavours, but I really can't drink those so sent them back with the driver. | |

| I'm strange that I don't like milkshakes either, but I can just about tolerate a Slim Fast. Haven't had the soups in years, but when I did before they weren't for me. | |

| Strawberry and chocolate slimfast for me, I've never had the soups so I don't know what they are like. I don't know if it necessarily works for me though it just makes me feel like I am being 'good'. Tesco low-carb shakes are revolting! | |

| Forgot you had four to run around after 4angels.
it's hard enough for me to get my two out and about, I don't drive so we use public transport too.
Hope you have a good day anyway.

| I understand your rant 4angels, it's good to vent sometimes. Travelling by bus has got a whole lot worse for me recently, as my nearly two year old refuses to sit in the pushchair on the bus anymore. He's fine outside but as soon as we get on the bus he just kicks and rocks until the pushchair nearly falls over. So i've taken to putting the reins on him then putting him in the pushchair, then when we get to the bus stop I take him out and hold the reins, fold the buggy, lug it onto the bus all the while making sure 4 yr old is behaving himself. by the time I've done all that i'm knackered, and i've only just sat down on the bus!! Oh well | |

| Yeah I have to put my daughter on a harness and collapse the pushchair if I go on the bus, which somehow still makes it difficult having to carry everything, pay, get the ticket and keep both of us upright (as bus drivers don't seem to wait for you to sit down!). Oh the joy of public transport LOL!!!!! Hope you and the boys enjoyed your trip out and saw lots of boats! We made gingerbread men this afternoon and decorated them when cool! I only tried a tiny baked blob (offcut) so my slimfast day wasn't compromised!!! | |

| How you doing with Slimfast?? I can't wait to see when I weigh in tomorrrow how my first full week has gone! The bay was nice, and they both enjoyed the boats. It's only 10 minutes bus ride from the centre of Cardiff, but feels like the other side of the world. On a chilly day like today it's practically deserted, we all love it down there. Apart from the trip out it's been a rough day at home. You might remember me saying that Thomas was getting naughty, well were getting tough on him. However the only punishment that seems to have any effect on him is saying no games for the rest of the day. Well when you say that to him at 8:30 in the morning, it's a long long day!! I don't know who gets the most punishment me or him It seems to work anyway, he's always an angel the day after when he's not played his PSP all day. | |

| Really struggled with feeling hungry today and I'm getting fixated with what 'proper' food I can eat at teatime...I think it is just as case of adjusting to less calories though! Glad you guys got a breather away from home for a bit! Sometimes with kids I think you do have to be tough as they wear you down, and like you say at times you end up punishing yourself rather than giving in and getting a bit of peace! Every day I think I am not going to shout and we are going to have a happy and calm day, but by about 8am someone has usually tried their luck once too often!! Quite often before I've even got out of bed in a morning they are annoying me by slamming their bedroom doors, bickering or jumping on & off beds from 6am!!! Which obviously means that I don't start my day a happy bunny!! I suppose with your son you just have to stick with what is working and hope that soon he will turn a corner and you will only need to enforce the no computer games rule when he has a really bad day. Good luck for your weigh-in tomorrow!! xxxxx | |

| Well done Starbuck!! Good willpower there hun!! Sorry Stella don't let us two moaning put you off if you are genuinely feeling broody!! There are pros and cons to everything and kids are no exception to that rule!! Pros:I think kids teach us so many things especially humility; they give you unconditional love and hearing 'Mama' for the first time melts you heart; watching them grow is fascinating & magical; they say the most hilarious and innocent things; they make you laugh and cry with joy & pride etc. Cons:You have to quickly learn so much about them and yourself; they can be selfish and if they say 'Mummy I want...' one more time you'll tear your hair out; they grow up too quick and answer you back; they say the most hilarious things at the wrong times and you wither with embarassment; they make you laugh and cry with frustration, annoyance and exhaustion!!! Hope that was a reasonable enough summary for you hun!!! I'm sure Starbuck feels the same as me - that she wouldn't be without them....but a few weeks off every year would be bliss!!!! | |

| you summed up my feeling exactly 4angels I love my kids to bits, but it dosn't mean they don't get on my nerves sometimes My mum usually has the 4yr old on a friday night and Saturday till teatime, which is lovely. She's also worked herself up to taking both of them once every month, although she's shattered afterwards, it's a great break. However she's been busy galavanting and enjoying herself for the past three weekends, so i'm dying for my weekend break. Can't wait to have a kid free Saturday this weekend!! (hope that dosn't sound too awful ) | |

| It doesn't sound awful hun it sounds like bliss and a much needed break.....I'm jealous though I wish my mum would do that. Do you think your mum would have mine as well ha ha ha!!! We used to stay at my Nan's every weekend when I was little which gave my Mum & Dad the weekend off...however the thought wouldn't even enter into my parents' heads to do the same for us unless it was a medical emergency and they had absolutely no choice!! The moral of the story is not to have 4!!! You enjoy your time off hun you deserve it!!! xxx | |
