| oh Stella,
I've got a tale guaranteed to put you off babies for life! Featuring a mega toilet accident in a popular shopping centre, and taking my son (22 month old) into the disney store with just his coat on to buy some much needed new clothes.
I thought I was passed those horrendous nappies and taking a change of clothes out with me, boy was i wrong

| I know it was truly awful.
And then afterwards I put his new tracksuit on, then he stood up off the changing mat and put his foot into the washbasin. Which must have had an electronic sensor and gushed water all over the leg of his NEW trousers.
I was not amused!!!! | |

| Oh SB it sounds like a nightmare!! Sorry but I chuckled also at the image of a toddler in just his coat stood in the Disney Store and also putting his foot under the tap straight after the new clothes are on! My youngest would do exactly the same and be wet or dirty in 30 seconds (mind you if she knew she'd get an outfit from the Disney Store she'd deliberately do it every time we went out!)
I still have to take a change of clothes for my 3 year old every time we go out as she can't always be trusted to hold on!

| I ended up in the Disney store as it was the shop next to the toilets. I didn't really plan on spending £25 on a tracksuit!!! anyway it's nice and comfy and I thought he can wear it on the plane. | |

| It would have been way too lucky for the toilets to be near Primark or any other cheaper clothes store ....kids eh they really pick their moments!!....and if the day's gonna get any worse it might as well keep on going...(or at least that's what always happens to me!!!!) My twins got tracksuits for their Birthday from the Disney Store and they wear them to travel in so they are very comfy. I know how my 3 year olds mind works though and she would do it to me on purpose.... but that's manipulative girls for you Hope your day got better hun!!! | |

| Well I was supposed to be going shopping with a friend today, kids are at nursery (and shock horror) grandparents offered to take eldest 3 out for the day, plus hubby has gone out doing uni stuff.......and now I'm not going anywhere!!!!! So I face the delights of cleaning the house - bathroom in particular, and tackling the clothes hill (has been downgraded from a mountain)!! Friend only wanted to go out after 1pm as she needed a lie-in and only wanted to go in a few select shops anyway to find a dress for a party and be home by 3.30pm!!! What about shops I might want to go in? Having got rid of everyone by 9am, 1pm is nearly the end of my day not the start especially when I have tea to cook at 4pm!!!! Ok so I could have gone in earlier by myself and done all of my shopping first but what's the point of that when there's internet shopping? I'd really been looking forward to a girly shopping trip!!!! Oh well I suppose I would have only got depressed watching her fit in all those size 8 dresses anyway!!!! It's no wonder I have no friends is it? Rant over!!!!! | |

| Your like me 4angels when I go into town i'm on the 08:30 bus up and out of the house and home by lunchtime. My old work friends always want to meet up in town at lunch time but that's not until 1:30. I don't want to be in town that late really. So we'll just have to be billy no mates together | |

| People without kids don't understand that the day always starts so early and that there's no off on a whim shopping trips alone or to the cinema or anything. I can understand your upset about having some girly time planned and your friend not wanting to get up! It's the same with my cousin who came down from Scotland recently, everyday for a week she said she would text me and we would meet in town but never did. Even though I stayed in the house all week thinking we'd go out one day. Then she did ring on the last day at 5pm and said shall we go out tonight? she's only 22 and doesn't understand about having family commitments or anything. She's not that much older than me really but I think marriage and kids just make you grow up. Well if I was up there with you, i'd love to go shopping with you and take your tips, your fashion sense can't be any worse than mine! | |

| Thanks hun! You are so right SB...no whims allowed...and I've not been to the cinema in years!!!!
Fashion-wise I probably don't have a clue...(but I probably never did anyway) as when you are the least important in the pecking order there's not that much room for vanity...although I do try to put make-up on if I ever leave the house and wear my semi-decent clothes, but other than that its scummy mummy not yummy mummy most of the time!!!!
I seem to have lost all of my friends since having kids, and even those who are now catching me up are far more into the cliques and 'baby-as-a-fashion-accessory' than I ever was!! Oh God I'm probably putting Stella off again...Stella close you ears/eyes, it would all be different and fabulous for you hun - honest!!!!
We'll have to organise a DS diet buddies meet up one of these days...though with us from all corners of the UK and with our various commitments it might be a bit difficult!!

| forgot to ask 4angels, are you back on the Slimfast?
Me and hubby are still doing it, not been too bad and surprising how quickly you get used to eating less food.
It's expensive (I just bought a months worth for the two of us at boots for £100...ouch!) but it's doing the trick and giving us the boost we wanted before holiday.

| found this woolworths advert from 1998 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=64UoW3-ss58and it makes me think that it's over 10 years ago, but all the toys seem the same as you get today. Nothing really different stands out. | |

| I had a Mr Frosty but I wasn't allowed anything with plasticine or playdoh after some got trodden into my bedroom carpet Any toys I remember have come back round again such as Care Bears, My Little Pony, Sylvanian Families, Star Wars and Thunderbirds etc. My brain is on go-slow for inspiration today!!!
