| Porridge is great, although better during winter. I often have porridge with soya milk and seeds. Sometimes, if I can afford it, I have mixed berries and natural yoghurt (I try and have seeds too, for protien!).
Another good one (if you can be bothered!) is poached egg. This morning I had an egg and 2 rice cakes, which was tasty!

| Grapenuts cereal, yoghurt and fresh raspberries for me this morning.
This is a good quick breakfast to make if your in a rush as it takes seconds. Put the grapenuts, yoghurt and raspberries in a lidded container and take to work with you, to eat when you get there. Grapenuts are rock hard, so it wont go all mushy by the time you get there it will still be nice and crunchy.

| During the week I have porridge with skimmed milk and dried fruit, mostly because it is easy to make at work and it keeps me filled til lunchtime! At the weekends I tend to have fruit and ryvita or boiled egg and wholemeal toast depending on how hungry I am and how early I'm up! | |

| I've made a real effort to eat breakfast this last week, after not ever eating breakfast.
I know it's the most important meal, but for me it's hard work.I don't ever feel like food when I wake up. Although I did enjoy it this morning, so it's getting easier.

| I usually eat cereal, toast, or a bagel. I guess I crave carbs in the mornings. | |

I can't face food first thing either. No way could I eat before I leave the house at 7:15. I eat breakfast at work now. Having been up for a couple of hours seems to help. Worth a try?

| anything oat based [not those horrible cereal bars, they're full of sugar] is good providing you dont lump loads of sugar on it; porridge with fruit, oatibix, shredded wheat also great avoid processed sugary cereals like the plague wholemeal or granary toast with peanut butter or marmite, or scrambled eggs on toast is nice and very good for you, or even beans on toast! | |

| Try this concoction...
20g Porridge Oats 20g Oat Bran 20g Wheat Bran
only 190 Calories and 4g of fat. (not including milk). I know the fat seems high but its low in saturated fat so its ok!
Full of fibre and keeps you full for ages!

| hang on...let me find it... here we go, dont ask me whose recipe it is; i found it on the net! GRANOLAINGREDIENTS300g rolled jumbo oats 75g slivered almonds [find them in the baking aisle] 45g sunflower seeds 45g pumpkin seeds half a tablespoon wheatgerm [in baking aisle as well, well it is at morrisons! ] half a tablespoon ground cinnamon quarter teaspoon salt 2 tablespoons canola oil half cup maple syrup [US cup measure and i used clear honey which worked fine] 1 cup dried fruit [try using apricots, dates, cranberries, sultanas] METHODPreheat oven to 165 degrees celsius grease and line a baking sheet combine oats, nuts seeds, wheatgerm, cinnamon and salt together in a separate container, stir together the honey/syrup, oil and pour over dry ingredients and toss together till mixed well making sure dry ingredients well coated with the oil/honey/syrup mixture spread on to prepared baking sheet and bake 30-45 minutes/ until golden brown leave on wire rack to cool, it WILL BE VERY STICKY, but will harden off as it cools break up when cool and crumble into a bag or container, add fruit and store in fridge until used it will keep in fridge for a few weeks [i ate mine well before its time was up!! LOL!] enjoy, you can eat it as it is or enjoy it as you would any other cereal it's gorgeous if i say so myself! and much cheaper than supermarket brands morrisons sell canola oil and i'm sure other shops will as well, you can tell where i shop though eh! | |

| ps i buy my seeds from an online health food store called goodness direct which are very reasonable and deliver very promptly; i do tend to buy in bulk though which does make things work out cheaper!
i roast my own seeds too which are yummy, not so much for breakfast but as a savoury snack!

| I think eggs are ok, I'm not sure what the recommended amount to have a week is. I don't think you could have them every day.
I'm going to start having them now and again - I was thinking scrambled eggs and ham, and a slice of toast. I'm having three-quarters muesli, a quarter oats with semi-skimmed milk at the moment and I am without fail hungry by about 11.30 (and I have breakfast at 8.45, not really early). I think I read that protein keeps you full longer, so that's why I was thinking of giving eggs a go. I do love muesli though so it will be hard to forego it and cook the eggs instead.

| When I followed a low GI plan you were allowed cereal (or toast) and fruit and a low cal yoghurt for breakfast..... As opposed to eating it all together I'd have toast first thing, a yoghurt when I got to work and then some fruit mid morning. So I was eating little but often... | |

| I hate eating breakfast - even a Fry-up rarely would tempt me. I just don't like "breakfast" type food - even the stuff that is bad for you!!!
I now make an effort to eat as it is so important for regulating your blood sugar level - I still don't eat until 3 hours after I get up on a weekday though (which negates the whole blood sugar level thing).
Could you manage a banana or yoghurt when in the morning Stella?? And then maybe some cereal or toast a bit later???
There are plenty of healthy things you can have - smoothies, spreads on toast and even things like scrambled eggs and beans....

| I will try and remember to buy some bananas on the way home. My problem is that I don't like milk so cereal is out of the question. Ho hum - will have to make more of an effort. | |

| Oh wow Stella I hate milk too. I have a touch of it in my tea but that's it (my milk thing also makes me funny with yoghurt too - I only eat one variety that is sold in one shop so have to stock up on it)
I can eat cereal dry but it just takes too long!!
Are there any other fruits you like??? Could you not manage some toast??
To me breakfast is def my least fave meal of the day and I only eat for the sake of it. Wish I was still like that when it came to lunch and dinner LOL
