I bet wonderwoman - its cause you can't taste anything so you want to eat more to treat your tastebuds. I am like that when my sinisitus is bad. plus as you say the boredom - well hopefully you will be back to normal soon - try and enjoy the rest

Haha, not sure how my skinny flatmate would feel about that. She's one of those irritating skinny people who 'doesn't see the point in dieting' because she's never had to. She can drink her body weight in beer and not put on an ounce. Doh!

I've decided to change my goal for the week. Rather than aiming to lose1-2lb this week my aim is now to not have gained. If I break even on Suday after this totally sedentary week, i'll be happy.

Thats a good attitude to have. Tell skinny flatmate she'll have to put up with it while you're ill - you could have hours of fun together cutting out fat pics from magazines lol

My lodger has put on weight apparently since she left her husband. Came downstairs the other night and joining my pic on the fridge is a pic of her which her son has stuck up with a post it on it saying little pickers wear bigger knickers.

i have a fridge magnet like that!
next to it is another magnet that says 'if your dog thinks you're the best, dont seek a second opinion' !!

hey everyone how are you all?

Ive just had a bbq [cos my brother is visiting this weekend] so i've had 2 veggie burgers (80 cals each) and 2 veggie sausages (100 cals each) and some salad! not too bad really!

thats great Flax - bbq's are hard as there are loads of goodies to graze on.

I am feeling good this week, I am determined to keep on track and will have to be lol - I am going out for a meal with my husband on Saturday and a meal with workmates at a chinese buffet on Sunday, so will have to watch out for that - but I won't be drinking as the Monday will be the day before my exam so will be pouring over books and crib sheets - I have managed to get the weekend off so that I can revise. Then after that the pressure is off a bit and I can get back to normal

Well after my incredibly hectic weekend I am determined to knuckle down this week. Good luck this week everyone!!

I just wanted to share a bit of good news

my eldest son has aspergers and always had major problems with fitting into education in particular and we finally got him in the right school -and he is now attending a college in Fife which means him getting a car ride, two trains, a bus and a walk to get there and goes on from there to the school he stays at through the week- he has made so many victories over the years, some as simple as using a mobile up to coping with late buses and picking alternate routes and the latest news is that in recognition of his dedication, effort and scholastic achievements he has been awarded student of the year at the college. we are just bursting with pride for him.

he has got his interview tomorrow for a college in Edinburgh tomorrow and he is going to be able to tell them that as part of the interview - how cool is that?

Thats absolutely fantastic Irnbru! You must be so proud of him - student of the year - what an achievement!!! Hope his interview goes really well tomorrow as well!!

My 8 yr old has learning difficulties and we are going through the diagnosis procedure to see where he fits on the Autistic spectrum at the moment, so your story is really heartwarming. Thanks for sharing!!

i notice they don't mention the laxatives they're supposed to chuck down either! and the silly girl doesn't have a breakfast! not to mention the highly erratic eating patterns!

That model seems to eat a heck of a lot of sweet stuff!! Surprised me.

And horrendous amounts of coffee! I mean I like coffee but I couldn't drink that much.

Just noticed there's more than one person in the article, one of the other ones is an editor at Elle magazine. All she seems to do is pop pills all day instead of eat!

The 2nd one - the editor - she is barely eating anything at all - it seems to be all liquid apart from a few mouthfuls of food and a load of alcohol - can't think that all those drugs are a substitute for a proper meal - madness lol
