| This is something that i've seen on other threads. Non scale victories are good things that happen but not to do with actual pounds lost.
I've had one today as my BMI has gone from Very high risk to just High risk. Only a small difference, but I was quite happy with that.

| Non scale victory is a great idea, especially a BMI victory!
I'm going to post my BMI at each of my goal weights:
GW1: 160 / BMI = 29.3 GW2: 150 / BMI = 27.4 GW3: 140 / BMI = 25.6 GW4: 130 / BMI = 23.8 GW5: 120 / BMI = 21.9 GW6: 112 / BMI = 20.5
So when i get to my GW1 ill move from the dreaded obese category to the overweight category... which is good! lol. Then only 30lbs until i get into the 'healthy' category!
I like the BMI thing instead of the weight numbers! I'm also gonna stick my fave pair of jeans [which are a little too small] on the back of my door so every morning i can look at them and use it as motivation to stick to the diet!

| I just took the measuring tape to myself and since i took my measurements on week 8 ( after i had already lost 1 st 9lbs) - so no idea what my measurements were when i started and in 37 weeks I have lost:
5 1/2 " off my waist, 5" off my bust and 7 " off my hips.
and my stripey jeans can now be tied ( but can't wear them yet as they look like a pair of tight leggings on me, so don't want to wear them until they are loose on the leg) but at least I can pull them on easily.

| I wore an old pair of jeans one size smaller out today as my others were too big. There still quite tight around the tummy, but all my clothes are. I have a really baggy tummy. They didn't feel tight though, I can sit down fine and everything. | |

| Quite embarrassing but a non scale victory - my skirt just nearly fell down walking through the warehouse!! I could feel it slipping but it slipped just a bit too far | |

| Stella although embarrasing, it's better than ripping it or something from being to big for it. It must have felt sort of weirdly good anyway. | |

| It did - had a bit of a blush (several dozen warehouse lads about) but at least it didnt fall off completely. Walked off feeling embarrassed but then realised that it must mean I've lost weight since I last wore it last week!!! | |

| That's great for you Starbuck and Stella - these are the real victories aren't they - numbers are just numbers - but smaller jeans and too loose skirts are actual results.
Will the warehouse lads never let you hear the end of it though Stella ?

| Um no. I've just had to walk through again and people on other contracts from a different part of the warehouse knew about it. One of the managers from another contract commented as well when he came in the office. | |

| oh gawd - how embarrasing - as Starbuck says it's much better than your skirt splitting open at the seams - that would be much more mortifying I reckon - but isn't it amazing how quick these things get out. | |

| rofl - thanks for sharing that last part - so are you going to invest in a belt or treat yourself to a smaller size? cause I am sure if you wear that skirt again you might get all the lads following you about seeing if its gonna happen again | |

| Well for this afternoon I have invested in a couple of safety pins lol. Think I might have a belt that fits this skirt at home - hope so cos I don't want to buy any clothes till I hit goal. | |

| on my college night out we were at a club with a live band, then on to a dance club after that and I was dancing for hours and the nightclub was really warm and I was barely sweating - the last time I was out clubbing it I was melting and was all sweaty and tired- but I was chuffed at my fitness levels - it was so nice not to feel like some unfit sweaty wallflower an be just be able to dance as much as I wanted to | |

| When we went to Monster Trucks yesterday we were seated right up at the top of the Millenium Stadium. We had to walk what seemed like 1000 stairs to get up there, no way I would have been able to do it a few months ago. It felt like a lot of stairs but I wasn't gasping for breath or anything, it felt great! | |
