| I've been looking into these dvd's called Walking at home. There's one inperticular called Walk away the pounds for abs. You basically walk on the spot the whole half hour whilst doing arm exercises and stuff, and by the end youve walked 2 miles. There are loads of others and they go from 1 mile to 5 miles. | |

| the dvd sounds interesting Starbuck - sounds like it would be good for upper arms as well - I'm with you Stella - wouldn't want to go walking about where I am either -plus it's Scotland so its freezing lol. If I can carve time out to get outside I go to the gym I feel it's much more intensive - mind you we are not that far from the Pentlands and there are some fab hill walks there but again I work weekends so never seems to be the time to get there.
are you still doing your callinetics Stella? and Stripey how is that new callinetics video going - would you recommend it? | |

| I'm persevering with the callanetics and I can see an improvement in the muscle tone in my arms already. They have gone a bit droopy since I lost weight!! | |

| I am currently unable to exercise due to pulling a muscle in my knee (not sure how) it's come on over a few days so I am now having trouble even managing stairs. I've got a support bandage and I'll give it until Monday of not its DR's for me!! I feel about 100 years old | |

| I found one of the whole videos of this walking at home on you tube. Thought i'd give it a go before commiting to buying the dvd. It was really good, I was just really surprised that I could walk on the spot non stop for 1/2 hour. I enjoyed it and got a good workout, just worried that my knees might give me a bit of gip tomorrow. | |

| Easier said than done - she seems to be permanently on poker with her earphones jammed on her head. I got home one day and she'd moved the sofa so it was easier to play - it did look stupid abandoned in the middle of the living room she moved that back pretty damn sharpish I can tell you | |

| I managed to find some time to do the walking workout again last night. I really enjoyed it, and although afterwards you can really feel it in the knees, it's fine in the morning no aches and pains that I usually get. | |

| Hubby bought a treadmill recently so I have been trying to go on that for 15-20 mins brisk walk every day. If I can, I run for a couple of minutes (not consecutive mintutes though!!). Feel more comfortable doing this at home as I'm too self-conscious to go out, plus its not always convenient for me to walk the block (weather, kids etc.). | |
